The deal includes 87 Green Valley Grocery c-stores across southern Nevada.

Anabi Oil has reached an agreement with Henderson, Nev.-based Green Valley Grocery to acquire all of its 87 locations, mainly located around Las Vegas. The completion of the sale is not yet finalized and the terms were not disclosed, according to local outlet KSNV.

Anabi Oil is the operator of the Rebel c-store banner.

“When I first came to Las Vegas in the 1970s, I saw so much potential, and I’m glad to say that I was right,” Crawford said in a statement. “Nevada is a state made for small business growth. This is an amazing city, and a wonderful community, and I’m fortunate to have been able to begin and run a business that has been a part of so many Las Vegans’ lives.”

Green Valley Grocery was founded by Rick Crawford with a single store in Las Vegas in 1978. It has since grown to become a staple of the Las Vegas community, with nearly 90 locations in total.

“At Green Valley Grocery, we love serving and engaging with our wonderful southern Nevada communities by way of quality customer service, friendly smiles, top–notch fuel service and all of the great food, drink and snack brands you’ve come to expect from your neighborhood convenience store,” the company wrote.

Anabi Oil, headquartered in Upland, Calif., is a family-owned retailer operating more than 500 locations. Anabi’s story began with one station in Baldwin Park, Calif. Since then, the company has grown by buying and selling stations, converting bays into convenience stores, adding car washes, partnering with fast food brands and building ground up new-to-industry locations.

“This growth has provided us experience from the perspective of a buyer, seller, lease dealer, open dealer, franchisee, owner, contract operator and wholesale distributor … virtually all classes of trade within the gasoline retailing industry,” Anabi wrote on its website.

Anabi Oil Owner Sam Anabi has confirmed that the Green Valley Grocery brand will remain in place, according to KSNV.

“This acquisition is about our long-term commitment to Nevada: keeping the Green Valley Grocery name alive, strengthening Rebel’s place in the community, and continuing to invest in the future of convenience for the families and neighborhoods we serve,” said Anabi.
