Pemmican Beef Jerky partners with Safari Club International Foundation’s Sportsmen Against Hunger Program to help feed those in need.

Marfood USA’s Pemmican Brand Beef Jerky plans to give away one free bag of beef jerky every 20.11 seconds on Pemmican Beef JerkyApril 1, to kick off its new Pemmican Trail campaign.

Participants simply visit www.pemmican.com between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on April 1, 2011 to register for a chance to win.

As a way of assuring the public that the free bag every 20.11 seconds isn’t a put-on, for every free bag won by consumers during the April 1 giveaway, Marfood USA will donate two bags of Pemmican Beef Jerky to Safari Club International Foundation’s Sportsmen Against Hunger Program.

“Pemmican is taking charge through its meat snacks to lead others along The Pemmican Trail, a path to quite simply to make things better in some way,” said Nakia Watkins, marketing manager of Taylor, Mich.–based Marfood USA. “Hunger is not a joking matter, so what better stop along the trail than one that gets shoppers involved in a program like Sportsmen Against Hunger continue to feed those in need?”

Since Safari Club International started the Sportsmen Against Hunger program in 1989, tens of millions of meals have been served at local soup kitchens, food banks, or other charitable organizations. This and similar Safari Club International programs are active in all 50 states of the U.S., in parts of Canada, and in several other countries around the world.
