Holiday event celebrates military members and their families, thanks them for their service.
Taylor, Mich.-based Atlas Oil Co., a premier national fuel supply, logistics and services company, hosted its 8th Annual Atlas Cares Holiday Party at Selfridge Air National Guard Base (SANGB) on Sunday, Dec. 7, honoring active members of the United States military and their family members.
More than 3,000 service men and women from all branches of the military and their families attended the celebration, which included live entertainment from the band Fifty Amp Fuse, games, face painting, arts and crafts activities, a meet and greet with Santa, and a hot buffet meal. The event culminated in a formal recognition of all of the military members in attendance.
“This annual celebration is one of the many ways in which Atlas Oil is dedicated to thanking and honoring our heroic service men and women for their dedication and sacrifice. Our goal is to provide a fun event which they can enjoy with their friends and families,” said Atlas Oil Chairman and CEO Sam Simon. “I would also like to thank our outstanding team members, customers and suppliers who contributed time, money and supplies to make this another wonderful event.”
The Atlas Cares Holiday Party at Selfridge Air National Guard Base is one of the flagship events of Atlas Cares, the charitable arm of Atlas Oil. Through Atlas Cares, team members, customers and suppliers have the opportunity to give back to the community through fun, engaging activities and events.
