The 53,000-square-foot Warner Robins, Ga.,travel center is set to break ground on Nov. 18.

Texas-based Buc-ee’s is entering the Georgia market with its first location in Warner Robins, Ga., set to break ground Nov. 18.

The 53,000-square-foot travel center will be located at the southeast corner of Interstate 75 and Russell Parkway and is expected to open in early 2021.

The company chose the location because of the large number of travelers passing through the city daily and the area’s strong workforce, a spokesperson told Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Warner Robins, Ga., is located along the route between Atlanta and Florida, and it is home to the growing Robins Air Force Base.

Buc-ee’s is considering additional locations in Georgia, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The new location will feature 116 fueling positions and a wide variety of food options, including Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, Beaver nuggets, jerky and pastries.

Founded in 1982, Buc-ee’s has 37 stores and counting in Texas. In January 2019, Buc-ee’s opened its first location outside of Texas in Robertsdale, Ala. In September, the company broke ground on its first Florida location in Daytona Beach, Fla.
