New signage shows Buc-ee’s is committed to compensating its c-store employees at a competitive rate.
Buc-ee’s Convenience Stores, since the second quarter of 2015, has been sharing with its customers how much it pays its c-store employees via signs posted at its locations, according a Gazette Review article posted to the chain’s Website.
The Website declares that its employees are making between $11-$14 an hour, which is about twice the federal minimum wage. A photo of one of the signs posted on its Website shows cashiers and gift associates make between $12-$14, while foodservice and maintenance people make between $12-$15.
As many groups are fighting for higher minimum wages on the state and federal levels and targeting quick-serve restaurants and convenience stores as businesses that are allegedly underpaying employees, Buc-cee’s is letting its patrons know that it believes in paying its employees well.
Buc-ee’s is noted on its Website that it is eager to employ more people, as advertised on its Website and Facebook page. The signs will surely attract an array of quality workers.
