Buc-ee’s has announced that it will open its largest Georgia travel center on July 1 in Brunswick, Ga. Located about an hour south of Savannah, the site is near vacation spots like Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island and Sea Island, according to The Houston Business Journal.
This marks Buc-ee’s third c-store in the state, and is larger than the other two by 21,000 square feet. The other two sites, located in Warner Robins and Calhoun, stand at 53,000 square feet, while the new location is set to take up 74,000 square feet.
The new Brunswick location will offer Buc-ee’s favorites like Beaver Nuggets, jerky, brisket, pulled pork, branded merchandise and much more.
According to Savannah Morning News, Buc-ee’s also plans to add a fourth Georgia location in Monroe County in early 2026.
Hitting New Markets in 2025
Since launching its multi-state expansion in 2019, Buc-ee’s has opened travel centers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri and Colorado. In 2024, Buc-ee’s broke ground on its first Virginia, Mississippi and Ohio locations.
In April, Buc-ee’s broke ground on its first Arkansas location, and also announced plans to break ground on its first Arizona site, located in Goodyear, on May 14.
The company noted that the groundbreaking ceremony featured local leaders, including Mayor Joe Pizzillo and City Council members Wally Campbell, Brannon Hampton, Laura Kaino, Vicki Gillis, Benita Beckles and Trey Terry.
“We could not have picked a better location for our first store in the Grand Canyon State,” said Stan Beard, Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate. “Perfectly placed for our road-trippers headed out to California or coming in for the destination-rich Phoenix area, Goodyear will be the place to stop.”
Additionally in 2025, Buc-ee’s submitted permit applications for a new Florida site, in addition to announcing plans for its first Wisconsin location, while it also makes progress on its first store in Ohio, which is set to open later this year.
