Retailers can benefit from the growing market for Hispanic foods.

In light of National Burrito Day on April 4, c-stores and other brands showed off their Hispanic foodservice with social media posts and special promotions.

Hispanic foods like burritos are increasingly popular, and according to Chicago-based IRI, the spending power is expected to be huge.

“There is lots of momentum in general for Mexican foods,” said Rob Wilson, a Chicago-based partner and managing director at L.E.K. Consulting. “Where we’re seeing growth and innovation is in c-stores.”

Savvy c-stores are catching on to the trend and welcoming any opportunity to showcase their foodservice options:

Pilot Flying J also announced the launch of its new breakfast burrito, available April 5, starting at $4 for two breakfast burritos at more than 240 Pilot and Flying J Travel Centers.

Pilot Flying J app users can find an in-app offer for a free burrito that can be redeemed April 8-14.
