Casey’s General Stores Inc. has begun construction on a new location that is set to open by this summer in Neosho, Mo., between Cash Country and Price Cutter on the Neosho Boulevard, Neosho Daily News reported.

Casey’s, which operates 1,474 corporate sites, is in the process of rolling out a new store format, which will be included at the Neosho location. At 3,700-square-feet the new location will be 1,000-square-feet larger than a normal corporate store and will feature eight quad-unit pump islands and will sell diesel fuel. Inside, aesthetic changes will include like a slate floor and cherrywood finishes. There will be seating in the store and an expanded cooler section with 14 cooler doors versus the standard nine with more room for cold beverages.

“We have about 75 of these [new store formats] up right now and they’ve been very well received by our customers,” said Bill Walljasper, chief financial officer of Casey’s General Store, Inc.

The store will serve made-to-order sub sandwiches and an expanded coffee bar with several brews and iced coffee.

“It will have obviously your regular and your decaffeinated products, but it will also have Columbian and Kona, hazelnut, and a wide variety of others,” Walljasper said. “Plus you’ll have flavored creamers, flavored syrups.”

The store is expected to open its doors in May, although a definite date has yet to be set.
