CN Brown Co. is a family-owned business that began in 1948 as a retail and wholesale lumber company based out of Lovell, Maine. In the early 1970s, management recognized the changing lumber industry and began concentrating efforts in the convenience store, gasoline and heating oil business. Today, the company operates more than 70 Big Apple convenience stores in Maine and New Hampshire.
