Founded in 1934, Meijer remains a privately owned and family-operated company with more than 200 grocery stores and more than 70,000 team members in six Midwestern states. Meijer’s gas stations offer fuel in addition to a wide range of convenience store products. Newer stores often feature large-format footprints along with a variety of fresh food, self-serve coffee and seating areas. In 2018, the company opened its first convenience store to include a separate full-service Starbucks.
