Following The Pantry acquisition agreement, Circle K to sponsor Speed Street festival in Charlotte.
Circle K, which is acquiring Cary, N.C.-based The Pantry, is set to sponsor the North Carolina festival Speed Street, which begins next month, The Charlotte Observer reported.
Speed Street, which is presented by Coca Cola, is now in its 21st year running in Charlotte, N.C., and Circle K is replacing Food Lion as the sponsor.
This is the first time Circle K is sponsoring an event of this magnitude, said Meredith Hull, a Circle K advertising manager, and the partnership is made possible in part because of Circle K’s pending merger.
The event is free and runs from May 21-23.
