Raises over $2.3 million in the 2012 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Campaign.

Valero Retail Holdings Inc. announced that its Corner Store locations raised a record $ 2,352,599 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  These results show a 21.7% increase over 2011.

With the help of generous customers and enthusiastic employees, Corner Store dedicated the month of October as CMN month, asking customers to purchase paper balloons in support of children’s hospitals.

“Through their determination, our hard-working Corner Store employees made the difference for children’s hospitals with one balloon at a time.” stated Gary Arthur, Valero retail president.  “I also want to thank our loyal customers who helped us give over $16 million since 1995.  Without them, miracles would not have happened.”

The money Corner Store raises supports 32 hospitals in the communities where the company-owned stores are located. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals touch the lives of children whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer, by providing comfort, treatment and hope to millions of sick kids each year.
