Retailers are encouraged to submit Webinar topics that would most benefit them to the FDA Center for Tobacco Products.

FDA Center for Tobacco Products is hosting a new series of one-hour Webinars on federal tobacco regulations.

Designed to give retailers updated, relevant FDA compliance training information, the series features an interactive format with topics based on retailers’ suggestions and live Q&A sessions during each Webinar.

2011 Compliance Training for Tobacco Retailers Webinar Series will take place on March 29, April 26, May 18, June 28, July 26, and Sept. 20. All Webinars are scheduled for 1 p.m. EST.

The Webinars will follow a topic-based format and retailer input is highly valued— Webinar topics will be based on retailer feedback and suggestions. User-generated topics needed for all upcoming Webinars (including April 26, 2011).

The FDA Center for Tobacco Products requests that retailers send future topic ideas to  [email protected]. Retailers can participate in the Webinars by Live Webcast or by Phone, and no registration required. Limited Web connections and phone lines available on a first-come basis. Operators can sign up for email updates on new topics added to the Webinars and get reminders about upcoming and archived Webinars at https://service.govdelivery.com/service/subscribe.html?code=USFDA_205

Participants can submit questions during the Webinar by clicking on the “Q & A box.” If listening by phone, or for questions after the Webinar, contact CTP at [email protected] or (877) 287-1373.

Retailers can watch and get info on each Webinar–if missed the first time around– by visiting http://www.fda.gov/TobaccoProducts/ResourcesforYou/ForIndustry/Retailer/ucm220111.htm.  Archived versions will be available soon after each Webinar presentation.
