FDA Issues Fliers to Help Retailers Comply with Deeming Regulations

New fliers from the FDA provide guidelines at-a-glance to retailers who sell tobacco products.

The new tobacco deeming regulations from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) go into effect on Mon., Aug. 8, 2016. NATO has annouinced that, with the approach of the new rules, the FDA has released four new fliers to assist retailers in complying with the regulations.

The new regulations relate to the retail sale of cigarettes, roll-your-own cigarette tobacco, smokeless tobacco, cigars, pipe tobacco and hookah tobacco.  Retailers have the opportunity to order up to 25 copies of each of the four fliers (listed below) directly from the FDA.

The fliers that can be ordered from the FDA include:

1. FDA Cigarette and RYO Sales Flier.
2. FDA Smokeless Tobacco Sales Flier.
3. FDA Cigar Sales Flier.
4. FDA Hookah and Pipe Tobacco Sales Flier.
