Changes are coming to Family Express stores as a part of the company’s new “Better For You” initiative.
As a part of an initiative to expand access to healthy foods, Family Express c-stores are now offering a free piece of fruit to children 12 and under.
According to a report from the NWI Times, the new offer is part of the Free Fruit For Kids program which the company has launched in an effort to grant children greater access to healthy food options. Now, for the next two months children who visit one of Family Express’s 68 locations will be offered a free banana, pear or apple to eat while their parents shop.
In addition to the Free Fruit For Kids program, Family Express is also working towards displaying its healthy food options together to make it even easier for customers to find and select healthy food products. According to the NWI Times, these changes are coming as a part of Family Express’s new “Better For You” initiative.
The company has announced plans for every Family Express store to eventually feature a “Better For You” section.
