Lion Uniform Group, a provider of direct purchase apparel programs, plans to partner with businesses nationwide again this year for Fueling Awareness, a Workforce United for a Cure, a campaign to advance breast cancer awareness.

As part of the campaign, employees in workplaces across the country wear pink ribbon Awareness Apparel to show their commitment to the cure.

During 2009, the campaign’s inaugural year, Lion Uniform Group coordinated a donation of $12,500 on behalf of campaign participants to the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Foundation. Many clients large and small offered their employees the opportunity to wear pink ribbon polos in place of their usual work attire for the month of October. Founding partners included Gulf Oil, Shell, Spirit, Pure Oil, Chevron and Texaco.

This year, Lion Uniform Group is increasing its commitment to the cure with the aim to make 2010 an even bigger donation year. From the purchase price of every pink ribbon item, 10% will go directly to a leading national breast cancer foundation.

In addition to newly designed sport performance polos, this year’s expanded Awareness Apparel collection adds a cap and soft shell zip front performance jacket. All items are designed to be customized with corporate branding.
