The GATE Foundation recently announced that its customers raised $45,000 for the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville (JaxPAL). Funds were collected from July 1 through Dec. 31, 2024, in coin boxes located at the registers of all GATE c-stores.
“We appreciate the generosity of our customers in helping to support the work of the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville,” said Kathy Brady, executive director of The GATE Foundation. “JaxPAL does impactful work with children, to help empower them, instill values, develop leadership skills and build trust with law enforcement. We are proud to support this programming to improve the lives of children in our community.”
The Police Athletic League of Jacksonville enriches the lives of children by creating positive relationships between law enforcement officers and the youth of our community through education, athletic, outreach and teen leadership programs.
“We are incredibly grateful to The GATE Foundation and GATE customers for their generous donation to JaxPAL. This support will have a meaningful impact as we continue to work towards enriching the lives of children and teens in our community,” said Janay Brown, JaxPAL development director. “With this contribution, we can expand our programs in education, athletics, outreach, and mental health support — all of which empower young people, including those with special needs, to thrive academically, socially, and physically.”
