Geo. H. Green Oil Co.’s annual Charity Fund Raising efforts were successful in raising some $24,000 for its three adopted charity partners – Greater Atlanta’s “Empty Stocking Fund,” serving Children since 1927; Newnan, Ga.-based “Welcome House” and Fairburn, Ga.-based “In His Great Name Ministry.”
Despite a troubled economy and the highest unemployment rate in 50 years, the Green Oil employees were led to their goal by their two Truck Stops: Fairburn Family Travel Center collected $12,200 in just over 30 days, followed by $4,200 from Greenway Mc Stop. Green Oil out performed last year’s total by an amazing 10.7%.
