Georgia-Pacific Professional has launched an updated environmental section of its Web site that outlines the company’s sustainability initiatives.

The site, http://www.gppro.com/sustainability, highlights the company’s Green by Design platform, a designation for products that are environmentally and socially responsible as well as economically sound.

The refreshed site makes it easy to learn facts about the sustainable products and practices of Georgia-Pacific Professional, with an emphasis on the EPA’s Reduce, Reuse, Recycle program. Visitors can also navigate and find key company information, such as environmental guidelines, recognitions, commitments and achievements.

“We’ve always had a commitment to provide sustainable solutions – now our Web site is a resource center for those looking to learn more about the environmental benefits of our products and services,” said Bill Sleeper, president of Georgia-Pacific Professional. “The site reflects our dedication to processes and products that are technologically and environmentally sound.”

Site visitors can learn about the numerous certifications Georgia-Pacific Professional and some of its products have been awarded, including EcoLogo certification, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Process Chlorine Free (PCF), 100% Recycled Fiber Verification and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, among others.
