Gilligan’s new manager of business development has years of experience in the c-store industry.
Neal McDermott joined the Gilligan Oil Wholesale Fuel Team this summer as its new manager of business development.
McDermott has been in the c-store industry for more than 30 years, working for BP and Lehigh companies. He has a solid background in the field.
As business development manager, McDermott calls on more than 50 accounts for Gilligan Oil, focusing on the Columbus and Cincinnati markets. He said it’s different, but was an easy transition.
“The timing was right and everything kind of lined up,” McDermott said. “Lehigh was in a position where they had to compress their personnel in the Cincinnati market and at the same time, Gilligan was looking for somebody to step up in the business development manager role. I was ready to move on from Lehigh.”
McDermott said the team at Gilligan Oil has been focused on becoming a market leader in the Columbus and Cincinnati-areas, which is a strong suit for today’s work environment.
Gilligan Oil company is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and operates about 80 c-stores in both Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio.
