Olympic Gold Medalist, Laurie Hernandez, may be headed to Wawa to celebrate her win when she returns home from Rio.
After landing a gold medal in the Rio summer Olympics when the U.S. gymnastics team took first place, Laurie Hernandez snapped a selfie and surprised her brother with the news.
Laurie’s brother, Marcus Hernandez, later posted the selfie on Instagram with a heartwarming message to his sister. Although it is not surprising that Laurie’s brother is filled with pride for his sister, how he wants to celebrate her achievement may be surprising to some.
At the end of his heartfelt message to his sister, Marcus promised the 16 year old Olympic athlete a trip to Wawa the moment she is back from the games.
