PriceAdvantageLargest locally-owned and operated convenience store chain on the Eastern Shore selects PriceAdvantage fuel pricing software to reduce manual processes and increase margins.

Goose Creek Food Stores has selected PriceAdvantage to support and execute its fuel pricing strategy at 17 locations on the Delmarva Peninsula, which includes southern Delaware and the Eastern Shores of Maryland and Virginia.

Goose Creek sought a solution that would give headquarters full control over their fuel pricing strategy and reduce manual processes, delays, and errors. With PriceAdvantage, they can now easily gather and analyze competitive fuel pricing data, gain immediate access to real-time volumes and margins, establish site-specific business rules to help automate price changes, and create robust performance reports and analytics. PriceAdvantage will provide Goose Creek with the fuel pricing control they desire along with the ability to respond immediately to the volatile fuel market—even from a mobile device.

“The days of using spreadsheets to manage a retail fuel business are coming to an end and Goose Creek management recognizes that,” said Chip Stadjuhar, president and CEO of Skyline Products. “To be competitive, fuel marketers need instant access to real-time data in order to assess volumes, margins, competitor pricing, and replacement costs. We are proud that Goose Creek has selected us as their partner, and we are excited to watch them excel.”

Integrating with Goose Creek’s multiple point-of-sale systems has proven easy, as PriceAdvantage boasts pre-built, verified integrations with Gilbarco Passport and VeriFone Sapphire systems. Also, Goose Creek opted to purchase the PriceAdvantage hosted solution, which reduced the implementation time and lowered hardware and software costs.

“We are very happy, and the system is working extremely well,” said Greg Stutzman, vice president of retail. “We are very impressed with PriceAdvantage software and its responsive, professional team.”
