Part-time employees at High’s now have access to an affordable health care plan.

In an unprecedented move, High’s will begin to offer health insurance benefits to part-time employees beginning next week.

This comes in the wake of many companies dropping benefits for their part-time employees. As health care costs continue to rise, High’s is striving to ensure that nearly 250 part-time employees are not without options. Employees will have access to an affordable health care plan, subsidized by the company that includes the following:

o Free unlimited Teladoc visits

o Free preventative care services

o Free primary care physician visit

o Discounted Prescriptions

Employees will have the options for individual coverage, employee and spousal, employee and child coverage, as well as family coverage.

“High’s of Baltimore strives to offer its employees the best benefits in the industry,” said Katie Alford, HR manager “We value our employees and want them to grow with us.”

High’s is a chain of 47 convenience stores run by a team of 500 individuals.
