Outstanding service leads to recognition and honors.
Holmes Oil Co., a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based retailer that operates 25 locations under the brand Cruizers Convenience Marketplace, was recently named 2015 L.W. Locke Retailer of the Year.
This honor is awarded by the North Carolina Petroleum and Convenience Marketers (NCPCM) association to honor a NCPCM member company for outstanding community service, leadership and excellence in operations.
“This is a wonderful award for our company. We work everyday to make our stores a better place to shop, and our great employees have helped to make us what we are. It’s great to be locally owned and operated and to give back to the communities we serve,” the company said in a statement.
In recent years, Holmes Oil Co. and its retail brand Cruizers Convenience Marketplace have donated more than $10,000 to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the N.C. Cancer Hospital as part of the Corona Cares initiative, and more than $25,000 to area schools and charities as part of ExxonMobil and BP Grant Programs.
