The Royal Buying Group (RBG) has announced the second of two available educational sessions in association with the 2013 Independent C-Store Expo (I-C-Expo), which is being held on Feb. 28, 2013 at the Chicago Marriott Burr Ridge in Burr Ridge, Ill. 

The second educational session will be Is Your Baby Ugly?, presented by Michael Lawshe of Paragon Solutions.  This session will be held at 1:35 p.m. to 2:20 p.m., prior to the I-C-Expo exhibiting tradeshow hours.  The Educational Sessions are free and open for all retailers to attend.

The second educational session, Is Your Baby Ugly?, will help retailers take a step back and look at their store’s true potential.  No one ever thinks “their baby is ugly,” in this case “baby” being one’s store that they have spent days, weeks, and even years trying to make presentable, profitable and efficient.  This session will help retailers determine what is potentially causing them from seeing the obstacles right in front of them and keeping their store from achieving its full presentation and operational potential.  Today’s retail shopper has a sea of competitors to choose from to get what they’re looking for—it is time to take a look at your “baby” and talk about why it may be, or how to keep it from becoming ugly.  Michael Lawshe will go over the new trends in convenience store design, low hanging fruit to take advantage of in order to receive immediate results, and how to improve a store’s overall profitability with creative design techniques, branding initiatives, and building customer loyalty.
