Leading consumer trends expert Thom Blischok will be the keynote speaker at Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s Retail Technology Conference, March 8 – 11 at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, N.C. 

On Wednesday, March 10 at 8:00 a.m. Blischok will discuss trends in retail and how technology is essential to compete.

As president of thought leadership and innovation at Information Resources Inc. (IRI), a provider of consumer, shopper, and retail market intelligence and insights, Blischok leads the company’s strategic thought leadership and innovation practices. He brings more than 25 years of industry expertise to the podium. He is the former chairman and CEO of MindMeld Inc., an Arizona-based “transformation through technology” consulting group that served leading retailers, such as Walmart, Kmart, 7-Eleven and others.

The Gilbarco Veeder-Root Retail Technology Conference is an annual gathering of retailers who use Gilbarco retail automation products, including Passport point-of-sale system and Applause Media System. The event, now in its third year, features educational seminars and networking opportunities.
