Irving Oil donates $1 per fuel transaction made on Aug. 27 to the New England Special Olympics.

Saturday, Aug. 27 marked the finale of Irving Oil and Circle K’s Fueling Dreams campaign, a month-long program focused on raising money to support New England Special Olympics athletes and their programs.

For the campaign’s finale, Irving Oil and Circle K teamed up with Special Olympics athletes and law enforcement officers to pump gas and wash windshields for customers at participating Irving Oil locations throughout New England.

In celebration of this final event, Irving Oil will donate $1 for every fuel transaction made on Saturday, Aug. 27 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to Special Olympics.

“We’re proud to support Special Olympics athletes in the communities we serve throughout New England,” said Darren Gillis, general manager, sales & marketing operations at Irving Oil. “This is a great day where we help make a difference in the lives of athletes, and have an opportunity to thank our customers for their support of Irving Oil.”

Since 1999, Irving Oil and Circle K have helped raise nearly $4 million for Special Olympics in New England. Each year, Irving Oil and Circle K locations offer commemorative clings for $1 donations during the month-long Fueling Dreams campaign, and this year Irving Oil will donate $1 for every fuel transaction during the campaign’s finale on Saturday.

“We’re grateful to Irving Oil and Circle K for their ongoing commitment to the Fueling Dreams campaign,” said Mary Conroy, president and CEO of Special Olympics New Hampshire. “Their generous support allows us to continue to expand our athletic programs and raise awareness of Special Olympics throughout New England. I hope to see everyone at the pumps this Saturday in support of Special Olympic athletes!”
