KESalute.com launches to chronicle military support throughout the Southeast.

The Pantry Inc. has teamed up with the USO of North Carolina to salute U.S. troops in Raleigh, Charlotte and Fayetteville in honor of Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 21.

Select Kangaroo Express store locations will host community events featuring military vehicles on-site. In each city, a deserving member of the armed forces will be recognized for their exemplary service to our country. These recipients will receive a race-day package to attend NASCAR’s only 600-mile event, the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, N.C.  In addition to two tickets to the race, the honorees will also have the chance to tape an introduction for their favorite NASCAR driver, which will air over the world’s largest high-definition video board before the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“Kangaroo Express is asking its guests to not only come out to celebrate the bravery of our men and women in uniform on Armed Forces Day, but to join us as we continue to salute our troops through the summer and beyond,” said John Fisher, senior vice president of marketing for The Pantry. “Our new Website, KESalute.com, is in itself a salute to past celebrations of our military and a preview into the future as we continue to support the troops through programs such as the USO and the American Widows Project.”

KESalute.com stands as a tribute to the brave military personnel and their families who make constant sacrifices to selflessly serve our country. The site invites and chronicles military support from Kangaroo Express customers across 13 states. Customers are invited to submit personal salute videos and photos to the military heroes in their lives and communities on www.facebook.com/kangarooexpress for possible inclusion on KESalute.com. The site also provides customers with opportunities to support military organizations through partnerships with Kangaroo Express.
