After 20 years as outside legal counsel, Kramer takes on a full time role with The Cigarette Store Corp.

The Cigarette Store Corp. (Smoker Friendly & Gasamat Oil Corp. of Colorado) welcomes Ken Kramer as its new general counsel and vice president—administration. 

Kramer as a shareholder of Berenbaum Weinshienk PC and has acted as outside legal counsel for The Cigarette Store Corp. for the past 20 years.  The company now welcomes him to its team in a full time capacity. 

Kramer concentrated his legal career in public practice in the fields of corporate governance, real estate leasing, property tax, commercial lending, condemnation, landlord/tenant disputes, representation of associations and commercial litigation.

Kramer has written several articles dealing with property tax issues and has lectured to and for a variety of organizations on property tax issues. He is a member of the American Property Tax Counsel, the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association. While in law school, he served on the Barrister’s Cup Moot Court Team and the University of Denver College of Law’s National Moot Court Team and Jessup International Moot Court Team.

Kramer was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 14, 1961. He was the recipient of a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado in 1983 and then a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver in 1987, the same year that he was admitted to practice law in the State of Colorado.

Kramer has numerous civic interests, including volunteering for the Winter Park Volunteer Ski Patrol, coaching youth soccer for the Colorado Storm Soccer Club and serving as a board member of the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center.
