KSS Inc. has introduced PriceNet SaaS, a hosted version of the company’s fuel price management software for convenience and grocery retailers.

The new solution gives fuel providers the option to obtain automated fuel price management via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, where the application and accompanying customer database and information resides and is managed by KSS on its servers.

By using PriceNet SaaS, retailers can save on costly upfront investments like servers and other necessary equipment to host the software themselves, and it cuts ongoing costs for IT personnel to maintain the system.

Users pay a monthly subscription based on the number of users that access the software during any given month. This method helps retailers cut costs by paying only for the amount of service used. KSS also offers additional value through its Software Maintenance and Support (SMS) and Model Maintenance and Support (MMS) services, which are included in the subscription to ensure users can fine-tune the system and receive optimal performance.

“With PriceNet SaaS, fuel retailers and marketers can now experience the same benefits and functionality of the site-licensed version of PriceNet, but without expending upfront capital and tying up internal IT resources to maintain the system themselves,” said Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS.

In addition, with PriceNet SaaS, implementation time is greatly reduced, so fuel retailers can quickly roll out the solution for faster impact on their operations.
PriceNet is KSS’ pricing solution that supports key tasks and stakeholders involved in retail fuels pricing–from capturing field-based intelligence at the site level, to the generation of price proposals through comprehensive pricing rules or price optimization, to consistent and timely implementation.

High levels of automation and an ‘exception-based’ approach ensure a rapid response to competitors and market conditions, thus allowing pricing analysts to leverage the power of pricing analytics.
