Kum&Gosquare“We attribute our continued success and aggressive growth to our dedicated associates and loyal customers,” says Kum & Go President and CEO.

For the fifth consecutive year, Kum & Go has been listed by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in America.

Kum & Go ranks among the top 20 Iowa companies selected for the 2013 Inc. 5000 list, based on percentage of revenue growth from 2009 to 2012 for private companies that have been active for a minimum of four years.

“We are honored to be selected for the fifth straight year, and we attribute our continued success and aggressive growth to our dedicated associates and loyal customers,” said Kum & Go President and CEO Kyle Krause. “We want to be a great company—doing the right thing for our communities, our customers and our associates.”

Each year Kum & Go donates 10% of its profits to support charitable causes. Kum & Go also is committed to sustainability, an effort that begins at construction and continues through daily store operations. The retailer is the first convenience store chain to join the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Volume program.

Over the last three years, Kum & Go has built more than 60 new convenience stores and currently operates more than 420 stores in 11 states. Kum & Go is the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the U.S.

The Inc. 5000 is an annual list of the top 5000 private companies in the U.S. The rankings are based on the percentage of increase in revenue over the previous three years. Inc. Magazine, the publication responsible for the Inc. 5000, has been in production since 1979.
