In celebration of the grand opening of its newest stores in southwest Missouri, Kum & Go, one of the nation’s leading convenience store chains, will give away a 2009 Harley Davidson Nightster motorcycle to one of its loyal customers.

“The Harley Davidson giveaway is a perfect opportunity for us to get to know our newest customers,” said Meggan Kring, director of communications for the West Des Moines, Iowa chain. “We are thrilled to announce the opening of these stores and look forward to serving the people of southwest Missouri.”

Customers can register to win the Harley by visiting any Greater Springfield Kum & Go location from May 1-15. Ozarks Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. donated the motorcycle for Kum & Go’s grand opening promotion.

Kum & Go purchased 37 Cody’s Convenience Stores on Feb. 9. With a total of 71 stores and nearly 300 associates, the Cody’s purchase makes Kum & Go the largest convenience store operator in southwest Missouri.”

Kum & Go has acquired Codys locations in Battlefield, Bolivar, Clever, Fair Grove, Hollister, Joplin, Monett, Neosho, Nixa, Republic, Rogersville, Springfield, Waynesville, and Webb City, Mo. Kum & Go also assumed ownership of Cody’s eight car washes.

With 431 stores in 12 states and more than 3,600 associates throughout the Midwest, Kum & Go is the fifth-largest privately held convenience store chain in the U.S.
