Kum & Go LC has opened a 3,400-square-foot in Brighton, Colo., making it the 27th store in that state, the company said.

The new store features 12 conventional fueling stations offering unleaded, unleaded plus, premium and diesel fuel, as well as the company’s wide selection of food and beverage products such as Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2o nutraceutical waters.

The Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the well-known Hiland brand name.

“We want Kum & Go to become Brighton’s store of choice for coffee or pop in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between,” Kum & Go President and CEO Kyle Krause said. “We are thrilled to offer a Kum & Go location for the residents of Brighton and surrounding areas. We are excited to build new relationships with businesses and patrons within the community.”

As part of Kum & Go’s commitment to developing environmentally friendly building and operating practices, the new Brighton store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.

Kum & Go plans to continue its growth in Colorado with seven new stores: one in Brighton and one each in Loveland, Conifer, Mead, Greeley, Granby and Debeque, all of which are expected to open later this year.

Kum & Go owns and operates more than 430 convenience c-stores in 12 states.
