Kum&GosquareNew eco-friendly store features fresh food and a variety of fuel options.

Kum & Go has opened two new convenience stores in Vinita, Okla. These stores are located on the Will Rogers Turnpike (767 East Will Rogers Parkway) and are part of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Oasis at the Vinita interchange.

The stores are part of a $14.6 million renovation of the Will Rogers Archway, or the “glass house,” as it was formerly known.

A grand opening event was being held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., before opening to the public at 4 p.m. on Dec. 22. Community representatives, city leaders, as well as a video message from Governor Mary Fallin, were all part of the opening ceremony.

The entire facility is 27,000 square feet. During opening week, both offered $1 fresh pizza slices. The stores will provide 24-hour foodservice and are the first Kum & Go stores in Vinita. While the stores are a part of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Oasis, it does not require a toll to get on and off the exit.

The new stores are designed to provide fast and friendly service for customers, offering a wide array of freshly made-to-order pizzas, baked goods and breakfast and deli sandwiches—all prepared daily in Kum & Go’s onsite kitchen. Outside, a wide variety of fuel options give customers more value and choices at the pump, including diesel and E-85 fuel.

Customers who download the new free Kum & Go app for iPhone and Android smartphones will receive exclusive digital offers and be able to find their favorite Kum & Go store nearby. The app makes it fast and easy to redeem digital coupons directly from a mobile phone by having the coupon’s on-screen barcode scanned at the register.

Kum & Go stores are saving energy and water through the company’s commitment to sustainable practices. New stores, such as these ones opening in Thornton and Erie, are designed, constructed and submitted for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Kum & Go currently has 82 LEED-certified stores, with 5 additional stores currently under review for LEED certification—the most of any convenience retailer in the nation.

Kum & Go now has 49 stores throughout Oklahoma.
