The kindness and compassion of one convenience store owner in Lake Fork, Texas is not going unnoticed.

According to a recent report from Belleville News-Democrat, one Star Mart convenience store located on Farm Road 515 has posted a sign offering a free sandwich and bottle of water to customers who do not have money or a job.

The sign is taped to a refrigerator window near the back of the store.

Belleville News-Democrat reported that the sign was posted by the store’s owner, Frank Hemani, when he began to notice that some of the people in the community were struggling to get by. Hemani was determined to help those in need, and he stated that he hands out around six free sandwiches per week.

Hemani also recently made a free pizza for a woman and her two children because the mother could not afford to buy food for her children and herself, Belleville News-Democrat reported.

Belleville News-Democrat noted that Hemani got the idea for this offering from a video that showed a grocery store making a similar offer. His sign has now been up for two months.
