Small brewer unveils new beverage named after popular comedian.

Rednecks rejoice! Larry the Cable Guy, popular comedian and actor, will now be immortalized in beer form with the release of a beer dedicated to his brand of redneck humor. The new beer, called–you guessed it–“Git-R-Done” is the brainchild

of independent brewers Schilling Bridge Winery and Microbrewery.

Owners of the brewery, Mike Schilling and his wife Sharon, decided to make the product as a tribute to the celebrity who hales from Pawnee Neb., the hometown of the brewer. The brewers approached Larry, whose real name is Dan Whitney, about the product and gave him a tour of the facilities. The comedian gave his full support.

Schilling told the Associated Press that the beer is made from high-quality ingredients to provide more “flavor and body” than many popular, corporate-made beers.

“Rednecks love quality, too,” he said. The Schillings feel that the beer will be a hit among Whitney’s large fanbase.
