Justin and Shanna Ellefson, brother and sister, decided a long time ago that working their way to pay for higher education might not be easy, but it beats the alternative.

Not only does working to pay for higher education help lower their education debt, but it also teaches them work ethics—something that’s hard to put a price on. You can only learn ‘Work Ethics’ on the job, at work. Building a building and building a future are both based on having strong foundations. If you skip a good foundation, chances are the structure will fail.

Shanna and Justin have a combined employment history of over seven years at the Team Oil Travel Center and Subway in Spring Valley, Wis. They have been educated in all areas at Team Oil and are licensed bartenders. This allows them to switch back and forth between the convenience store and Subway, acquiring more hours and increasing their weekly pay checks.

Smiling is a requirement at the Team Oil Travel Center, but for Shanna and Justin, it comes naturally.

Congratulations and best wishes on a bright future for all our working youth.
