The company has purchased a total of eight stores from Prima Marketing this year.
Little General Stores Inc. has acquired four stores in West Virginia and one in Ohio that were previously operated under the 7-Eleven brand by Denver-based Prima Marketing, The Charleston Daily Mail reported.
The West Virginia stores are located in Hurricane, Scott Depot, Pennsboro and Washington. The Ohio store is in Albany.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal boosts Little General’s store count to 90 stores in West Virginia, two in Virginia and one in Ohio. Little General has acquired a total of eight locations from Prima Marketing so far this year.
“We are very happy to welcome the employees and customers of these five locations to the Little General family,” said Brian Waugh, Little General’s director of retail.
The newly-acquired stores have been re-branded Little General on the inside, and feature its New River coffee and cappuccino and Siberian Chill frozen beverages, along with sandwiches, movie rentals and traditional c-store fare.
Little General also plans to add a branded food restaurant to its Albany and Hurricane locations. The company is also a franchisee of 29 Subways, 16 Godfather’s Pizzas, 11 Sam’s Hot Dog Stands, seven Burger King’s, seven Arby’s, four Taco Bells, four Chester’s Chicken Stands, two Steak Escapes, a Custard Stand Hot Dog stand in Danville, Boone County, and the 79er Restaurant in Burnsville, The Charleston Daily Mail reported.
