Love’s has announced the appointment of Tim Langley-Hawthorne as its new chief technology officer (CTO). In the role, according to the retailer, he will report to Love’s president and be responsible for aligning technology with overall company strategy, driving product development and fostering technical innovation including the responsible deployment of artificial intelligence (AI).

Langley-Hawthorne brings more than 30 years of global technology experience across multiple industries, countries and companies. Most recently he served as Hertz’ executive vice president and chief information officer where he deployed technology enabled products at-scale across thousands of global airport and off-airport locations, and for managing a fleet of more than half a million vehicles.
Prior, he was with Hitachi Vantara where he led all technology aspects for several merger and acquisition activities including due diligence and integration planning. Langley-Hawthorne also held executive technology roles with Western Union and Information Services Group (ISG). He brings a passion for building strong and trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners, and is consistently recognized as a collaborative, hands-on and engaged technology leader.
