Lee Corso to address energy and convenience industry April 17, in Indianapolis.

ESPN College GameDay’s Lee Corso will be this year’s keynote speaker at M-PACT 2013, the Midwest’s premier energy and convenience tradeshow to be held April 16-18 in Indianapolis.  The regional show draws nearly 4,000 energy and convenience professionals each year.

M-PACT proudly welcomes Corso to deliver the keynote speech on Wednesday, April 17 at the Indiana Convention Center.  Now college football’s most entertaining personality, Corso will share his keen insight on what it takes to rise to the top, outlining his time-tested formula to win with integrity every time.

“On the field or in the studio, Lee Corso’s the epitome of leadership,” said Bill Fleischli, senior executive vice president of the Illinois Petroleum Marketers Association and Illinois Association of Convenience Stores (IPMA-IACS).  “He knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way with utmost integrity and an unparalleled sense of humor.   We’re thrilled to welcome Lee to M-PACT.”

A graduate of Florida State, Corso has since been involved in football in every way possible—joining ESPN after 28 years as coach at the college and professional levels.  Corso spent a total of 17 seasons as a head coach, during which he led the Louisville Cardinals and the Indiana Hoosiers to remarkable victories. Recognized for exceptional contributions to college football and a lifetime of achievement and integrity, the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA) in 2010 presented Corso with the Contributions to College Football Award.  He is also a member of the Hall of Fame at Florida State, the University of Louisville and, most recently, the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame.

Serving as a key analyst on the three-time Emmy Award-winning College GameDay, Corso’s bold opinions and daring predictions have become the most anticipated in sports television.  In 2001, he was selected as one of the most influential people in college football by Sporting News magazine, and in 2004, the magazine ranked him as one of the “Most Powerful Media Personalities in Sports”.  In 2006, College GameDay received the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame’s Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football Award.

M-PACT is a three-day show offering seminars on risk management, improving customer service, and the future of transportation fuels.  With more than 500 vendor exhibits, the show features the newest technology, services and products for the petroleum and convenience industry, including storage tanks, tank trucks, pumps, environmental and laboratory services, fuel additives, car washes, food and beverage items, freezers and novelties.

M-PACT’s host states—Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio—collectively represent more than 1,500 member companies, which together employ approximately 165,000 individuals, operate nearly 20,000 convenience stores or gas stations, total more than $1.5 billion in inside sales, and sell more than 20 billion gallons of petroleum products throughout the Midwest.
