Manitowoc Foodservice has announced the appointment of Chris Karssiens to the role of executive vice president of foodservice Asia Pacific (APAC) effective immediately.

In his new role, Karssiens will be responsible for fulfilling the company’s APAC strategy and achieving APAC annual business plans, and overseeing Foshan, Hangzhou, and Singapore operations as well as its Joint Venture company near Bangkok. Karssiens will report directly to Robert Hund, president, Manitowoc Foodservice. 

Karssiens brings a wealth of experience to this position. Recently, Karssiens served as the VP GM of Manitowoc Foodservice’s Custom Fabrication business and prior to that role from 2009-2011, he was vice president general market sales Americas. Before the acquisition of Enodis, Karssiens was the executive leader for Enodis’ Asia-Pacific operations from 2005 -2009.  Under Enodis, Karssiens joined the company in 1998 as VP sales for Scotsman Ice Systems and has held key leadership positions, including commercial president for Enodis USA, president of Jackson MSC and president of IOM. 

Karssiens and his wife Paula will relocate to Singapore in the coming months.
