MAPCO has added non-alcoholic, hemp-derived THC beverages at 23 of its c-stores through a collaboration with Better Than Booze.
As one of the first major regional c-store chains to commit shelf space to THC beverages, MAPCO is making a bold statement in a fast-growing, slightly controversial category. The footprint of a convenience store is notoriously limited, making every product decision count — and MAPCO choosing Better Than Booze sends a clear signal: THC is no longer taboo, it’s trending.
“We’re not just another non-alcoholic beverage,” said Drea Groeschel, founder and CEO of Better Than Booze. “Our drinks are infused with hemp-derived THC — giving you the buzz without the booze. Consumers are craving something different: functional, flavorful and just a little bit rebellious. That’s exactly what we’re bringing to MAPCO.”
Better Than Booze comes in flavors like Rosemary Grapefruit Paloma, Elderberry Gin & Tonic, Lemon Drop Martini and Mint Mojito with Lime.
“MAPCO has been a trailblazer by giving THC beverages a dedicated place in-store,” added Groeschel.
Now stocked in MAPCO locations across Nashville, Chattanooga, Cleveland, Gallatin, Hixson, Goodlettsville, Tullahoma and beyond, Better Than Booze is reaching consumers on-the-go.
Owned by Majors Management, MAPCO is expanding into new states like Ohio, Arizona, North Carolina, Indiana and Florida. The retailer has over 200 stores and 1,000 dedicated employees.
