MAPCO Express looks to improve quality of hires and employee retention with the PeopleAnswers HR solution.

MAPCO Express and PeopleAnswers have signed a three-year software licensing agreement where the convenience store chain will use the PeopleAnswers HR solution to assist in selecting and hiring corporate positions and store-level staff.

“When customers visit a MAPCO store, they want to come in, have a great experience and receive outstanding service. Our employees are the key to achieving that experience,” said Jennifer Boulton, MAPCO’s vice president of organizational development. “As we continue to seek best practices to improve our processes, we selected PeopleAnswers as an easy-to-use tool that helps our recruiters and hiring managers build teams of people who deliver service that will keep customers coming back.”

MAPCO, which operates approximately 375 convenience stores in seven southeastern states, will use the science-based PeopleAnswers assessment test to prescreen and assess new team members at its corporate office and in all retail locations, including customer-facing positions such as sales associates and customer service leaders. PeopleAnswers helps improve hiring decision quality while also helping recruiters and store managers work more efficiently. Managers will also use PeopleAnswers as a guide for candidate interview questions and to support the hiring process.
