Slumping sales and decreased traffic calls for McDonald’s new CEO to find a way to turn business around.

In an attempt to stand up to the competition, McDonald’s has decided to move forward with its plan to serve breakfast all day long.

According to a report by CNN Money, during its trial period, which began in March 2015, McDonald’s has seen success related to the extension of the breakfast menu. The chain is now reporting that the all day breakfast menu is to become a chain-wide standard beginning in October of this year.

Along with the new all day breakfast menu, Steve Easterbook, McDonald’s new CEO as of late January, has vowed to improve McDonald’s food. A full scale turnaround vision was laid out in May, and the chain expects to add menu items and to change the way customers order in an attempt to fight slumping sales.
