McIntosh Energy Co. recently took home the 2025 Excellence in Small Business Award at Greater Fort Wayne Inc.’s 2025 Annual Meeting. The event brought together nearly 600 community and business leaders, including Governor Mike Braun, for the presentation of this year’s Business Excellence Awards.
McIntosh Energy, a veteran-founded and family-owned business, took home this year’s small business honor. The company operates four MacFood Mart convenience stores in the Fort Wayne area and offers fuel delivery and fleet card services to both local and national businesses.
McIntosh Energy was recognized for its commitment to innovation, strong local partnerships and deep-rooted community engagement, including hosting nonprofit events that benefit the region.
“McIntosh Energy is honored to receive this recognition and remains grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside the greater Fort Wayne community for more than 70 years,” the company noted in a statement.
Greater Fort Wayne Inc. is the chamber of commerce and economic development organization for Fort Wayne and Allen County, Ind. The chamber represents more than 4,000 businesses in the greater Fort Wayne area; with over 80% of its investors classified as small businesses.
Founded in 1953, McIntosh Energy is a locally owned fuel provider and Sunoco Distributor based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
