Partnership for a Healthier America to honor Partner of the Year for making healthy choices easier.

With today’s parents looking for greater nutritional value in the things their children are eating, offering more healthy options is not just good business. It’s good for the nation’s well-being, too. And moms and dads aren’t the only people noticing.

The Partnership for a Healthier America this week announced five finalists for its fourth annual Partner of the Year Award.

Each of the partner finalists has demonstrated positive change through efforts to ensure the health of the nation’s youth by making healthier choices more affordable and more accessible to American families and kids.

PHA touted that all the finalists execute key strategies with and beyond their commitments, especially in four areas: Focusing on people disproportionately impacted by obesity; doing well while doing good; innovative approaches to addressing childhood obesity and other chronic diseases; or creating a ripple effect within their industry.

Along with McLane Co. and NACS, other 2019 Partner of the Year finalists are the Produce Marketing Association/Sesame Street eat brighter! program, the Des Moines Area Religious Council and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension.

PHA will announce its Partner of the Year recipient in Chicago at the Accelerating a Healthier Future Summit, to be held April 1-2.
