Professional comedian and motivator Don McMillan is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at NACStech, the premiere technology solutions event for the convenience and petroleum retailing industry, NACS reported.
NACStech will take place May 5-7, 2010, in New Orleans.
McMillan will combine his technical experience and humor during the event’s Opening General Session talk. At AT&T Bell Laboratories, McMillan helped design the world’s first 32-bit microprocessor, and he has worked in Silicon Valley designing computer chips.
McMillan is best known for his stand-up comedy and television appearances. He was named grand champion for his comedy on Star Search in 1993 and has appeared on shows including The Tonight Show and Evening at The Improv. In addition, he has done numerous industry-related commercials for 7-Eleven, Little Caesar’s and Anheuser-Busch, starring in more than a dozen commercials as the Budweiser deliveryman.
Kevin Mitnick, often called “the world’s most famous former hacker,” will deliver the Closing General Session presentation at NACStech.
More than 1,200 attendees are expected for NACStech, which will features nearly 100 exhibits. Registration is now available at nacstech.com.
