Tonawanda, N.Y.-based NOCO Express Stores are joining with their guests and associates to “share the shamrock spirit” in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
For just a $1.00 donation, guests can purchase a paper shamrock to benefit MDA of Western New York at all NOCO Express locations beginning Feb. 8 through March 17. This is the third year NOCO has participated in the campaign, raising more than $5,000 for MDA in 2009.
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
MDA was created in 1950 by a group of adults with muscular dystrophy, parents of children with muscular dystrophy and a physician-scientist studying the disorder. Today, MDA has more than 200 offices across the country and supports nearly 400 research products around the world
