Onvo has announced the opening of its newest travel center, located in Mansfield, Pa. The site marks Onvo’s first location in Tioga County and its 42nd across Pennsylvania and New York, further expanding its footprint along one of Pennsylvania’s busiest travel corridors.
The new Mansfield Travel Plaza, according to an Onvo statement, is designed to serve area residents, commuters, professional drivers and the Mansfield University student community with a modern, convenience-first experience centered around premium fuel, fresh food and traveler-focused amenities.
The site features a Burger King, made-to-order food options, an expanded lineup of frozen and iced beverages, amenities for professional drivers and EV fast-charging capabilities.
“We’re excited to bring the Onvo experience to Mansfield and continue growing in communities across north-central Pennsylvania,” said Sonny Singh, co-founder of Onvo. “Today’s travelers expect more from a roadside stop, with better food, better convenience and amenities that fit the way people travel today. This location delivers on that while also creating a destination the local community can enjoy every day.”
Headquartered in Scranton, Pa., Onvo commemorated the opening in Mansfield with a festive public celebration featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony. To welcome the neighborhood, the plaza served up complimentary coffee and food samples throughout the day, giving Mansfield residents and students a firsthand taste of Onvo’s fresh approach to convenience.
Onvo also presented donations to the Tioga County Special Olympics and Richmond Township.
The festivities will continue throughout the week with a series of special promotions celebrating Onvo’s founding year of 1988. Guests can enjoy free any size, self-service bean-to-cup coffee throughout the first week (June 8-14). Daily 88-cent offers includes Roller Dogs on Tuesday (June 9), fountain sodas on Wednesday (June 10), Food on the Fly appetizers on Thursday (June 11), Food on the Fly frappes and lattes on Friday (June 12), slushies on Saturday (June 13) and Onvo’s private label potato chips on Sunday (June 14).
As part of the month-long celebration, Onvo Rewards members will also have access to exclusive fuel discounts and promotional offers at the Mansfield location.
“The Community Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Onvo to our community,” said Melissa Underwood, executive director of the Chamber. “Since the announcement of site development, Onvo’s presence has been felt in Mansfield, and this investment represents a strong addition to our local economy, our travel and hospitality landscape, and the overall growth of the community.”
With a network of 42 travel plazas and convenience stores, 27 quick service and full-service restaurants, and 7 hotels, Onvo is “committed to delivering a travel experience that is always quick, always kind and always convenient,” it noted in a statement.
