MS fundraising challenge has delicious end for Open Pantry leaders.

Although those at Open Pantry are happy to devote their efforts to raising funds to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, the chain was given some sweet incentive to strive to fundraise even harder.

Open Pantry has played a big part in the fundraising effort for Multiple Sclerosis for many years, and this year the chain’s seven convenience store sites raised $30,000 to find a cure. Toward the end of the campaign, management put a unique challenge out to the team—the store that hit $100 over their highest fundraising day ever, compared to the last few years of the MS drive, would be able to throw a pie at Jim Schutz or Bryan West of  S&W Consultants LLC, who run the daily operations of Open Pantry, or Robert Buhler, president and CEO of Open Pantry.

Open Pantry Store 9570 was the first to accomplish the goal and the team decided to pie all three of them.

“”What a treat—banana cream pie I can lick off my face and $30,000 dollars raised for Multiple Sclerosis; couldn’t be better, and couldn’t have a better Open Pantry team,” said Schutz.
